Dr. Bafitis is an actively practicing plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Palm Beach County, Florida. He has been in practice for over 25 years and is double board-certified in plastic surgery and general surgery. Dr. Bafitis is a clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine and Kansas City College of Medicine. He has medical students, interns, and residents rotating through his practice throughout the course of the year. Dr. Bafitis is the medical director of the Plastic Surgery Institute of the Palm Beaches surgery center and is actively involved in training other plastic surgeons in the art and science of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Bafitis has been involved nationally in the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery being the youngest chairman of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, representing all surgical specialties. He presently is still an examiner for the national board exams for plastic surgeons. Dr. Bafitis is a national and international lecturer on multiple topics in plastic surgery inclusive of rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation (eyelid surgery, facelift surgery, and foreheadplasty), liposuction, fat grafting, and the use of biologic matrices with component separation and abdominal wall reconstruction as well as in wound healing. Dr. Bafitis has traveled to multiple countries lecturing on these topics and training other plastic surgeons. He has written extensively on various aspects of plastic surgery and general surgery, and has been published in peer-review journals.

Dr. Bafitis has been honored with a national service award for his mission trips around the world assisting indigent patients (children/adults) through numerous charitable organizations. He has done this throughout his career and continues to do this to this very day. He has been given the coveted title of Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He also has a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas, and both his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his medical degree from the University of North Texas are cum laude.

Presently, Dr. Bafitis has expanded his practice to include work in a five-star resort, The Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. This is the first time a plastic surgeon and his staff have worked in a five-star resort in the continental United States. Bafitis Plastic Surgery is very proud of this distinct honor and the vetting that has gone into establishing the relationship.

One of the aspects of Dr. Bafitis’ practice is WELLNESS MEDICINE. He has practiced wellness medicine for over 23 years and been involved in research; providing support for his patients in terms of optimal health in creating hormone balance and improving their nutrition as well as implementing strategies for proper supplementation, and stress reduction. He is presently the medical director of Choice Wellness, Inc., as well as having his own wellness patients through his practice. The Bafitis philosophy is optimal wellness and age management depends on a symbiotic relationship between exercise/nutrition/optimal hormone balance/individual supplements per patient need/and stress reduction with spiritual growth.
